IF I CAN DO IT, IT'S ALSO THANKS TO YOU

In the vision of the Gattinoni Group, attention to people takes on multiple nuances and is also expressed in commitment and solidarity towards the most fragile populations, through economic support for various social projects. Since 2005, through the Un Mondo di Amici Onlus association, the Group has been actively committed to supporting social projects in various fields. Currently the supported projects concern the areas of training, inclusion and mobility.

TRAINING: KARIBUJUA IN KENYA

Gattinoni finances the studies of two students in Kenya, together with the Karibujua Association which contributes to the development of education in three remote regions of Kenya, considering the right to education and cultural exchange essential to change and improve one’s life. Karibujua’s mission is to select and reward deserving students through scholarships, allowing them to attend high school, guaranteeing the necessary expenses for all four years.

“Un Mondo di Amici” finances the studies of Halima Wanala and Issanka Mohamed Goricha, who achieved very satisfactory results in all disciplines in previous years .

INCLUSION: THE FREE WHEELS ASSOCIATION

Tourism is the emblem of mobility, and mobility is inherently linked to inclusion. The Free Wheels Association is an international reference point for those wishing to embark on a journey while facing reduced mobility.

After supporting the 2023 edition in Veneto, we stood by the association for the 2024 event, “In the Footsteps of Francesco – A Journey for Accessibility and Peace,” which started in Ancona and reached Rome, culminating in an emotional meeting with Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square. The participants, ten individuals with reduced mobility and several visually impaired members of the NoisyVision Association, traveled over 450 km, visiting some of the most enchanting places in central Italy across the Marche, Umbria, and Lazio regions.

In 2025 we support the association in the realization of new projects.

THE TUK TUK JOURNEY IN SRI LANKA

Sri Lanka has seen the percentage of people below the poverty line increase from 13% to 25% between 2020 and 2022, particularly impacting many girls and young women, leaving them with few alternatives to marriage. The mission of the Third Space Association, through an itinerant Tuk Tuk journey that covers much of the country, is to support especially the MIANI NAGAR community, managed by the Somascan Sisters in Batticaloa1.

The Tuk Tuk journey takes place between April and May 2025 and will be the subject of a documentary that will tell not only the humanitarian aspect of the mission but also a new way of discovering a country and its customs, traveling sustainably.

DASH TO CORTINA: SPORT AND INCLUSION

DASH TO is a project by MYN, an agency that has been dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and solidarity since its inception. After launching DASH TO PARIS in 2024, this year it’s time for DASH TO CORTINA, a year-long journey leading us to the 2026 Winter Olympics through three stages with three main sports disciplines. The DASH TO project is structured on two levels: fundraising for projects and organizations committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities, and raising awareness about the importance of sport as a vehicle for social integration. The projects supported by DASH TO will be selected and evaluated through the official DASH TO CHARITY platform.

OTHER PROJECTS

Over the past years, Un Mondo di Amici Onlus has supported other important projects.
From 2005 to 2016, it contributed to the construction and maintenance of the Benedict Medical Center in Uganda, located in Luzira on land owned by the Archdiocese of Kampala (Southern Uganda) and entrusted to the Emmaus Foundation, managed by Father John Scalabrini. The goal of the project was to provide access to medical care for the inhabitants of a country ravaged by civil war.
In 2023, the organization supported Croce Verde A.P.M., the oldest public assistance association for civil purposes in the city of Milan. “Un Mondo di Amici” helped purchase two tracked stretchers to facilitate the transport of non-autonomous patients; with this type of stretcher, all patients can be moved more easily.

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

Over the years, the non-profit organization’s projects have been supported through multiple initiatives, from raising awareness among the resources of the Group and the associations present in Italy, to the organization of charity evenings and the sale of books.

You can contribute to our projects by giving us your 5×1000: you will just have to sign and enter the tax code of a Mondo di Amici Onlus in your tax return or in the CU. This is a tax quota that the State renounces to allocate funds to non-profit associations, and does not replace the 8×1000: it costs you nothing, but for the families and children of Uganda it has immense value. Like their every little thank you.
